BACE Productions & Bacement Foundation for the Arts are seeking jazzy, funky, and theatrical dancers with strong technique and dynamic stage presence for a 3-day classic r&b/soul and funk revue at Miller Outdoor Theatre, May 22nd–24th, Memorial Day weekend. Rehearsals begin March 26th and will be held on Wednesdays and Saturdays, with select additional dates in May. Full production schedule details are provided below.

Auditions will begin with a solo round. Dancers should prepare or freestyle a 30-second solo that showcases your style, technique, and stage presence. Please ensure your solo is era-appropriate to fit the show’s theme. Dancin’ in the Street primarily covers r&b/soul and funk from the 60s and 70s, along with some classics from the 80s and 90s.
The second part of the audition will include across-the-floor exercises, character work, and jazz & funk choreography.
